General Information

Camp length
All our camps are one full week, Mon-Fri. full day, from 9:00AM- 4:00PM in length. We do not offer pre or post camp care as our camps are happening during regular school lessons. Students should be dropped off and picked up promptly. The Schools will be open at 8:45 AM each morning and remain open until 9PM. There are no pre or post activities planned, but any camper is welcome to wait for the camp to start or a ride home in our Café area.

Maturity and Behavior- Important
Our camps are designed to be fun and educational and we are looking for campers that have a desire to play, learn, and have fun. Our camps are set up to be focused on music and learning to play real instruments taught by professional musician/player/instructors. The camp will have sessions that are group related and then sessions where each camper will be asked to work independently on an assigned task. The instructor will come by and spend one on one time during these sessions. Campers must be able to work in this manner. There is no room or time for discipline issues as the instructor is there to focus on the music aspects only. If you do not think your child is mature enough, then please hold off on enrolling them. Campers who misbehave in any way that is distracting to the group, will be given a warning, and then parents will be contacted if a second warning is needed. If the behavior continues, parents will be contacted and the camper will be asked to leave the camp. There will be no refunds given for campers asked to leave due to discipline issues. This is the only way to be fair to the rest of the group in the camp.

Ages of Campers
Our camps are designed for campers ages 9 and up. We usually have ages grouped such as Pre-Teen 9-12 and Teen 13 and up. Campers in these age categories work best together. Please note recommended ages we have listed next to each camp.

Size of our Camps
Our camps have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 campers. This ensures personal attention and plenty of hands on for all campers.

Camp Fees
All camps are $275.00  for the entire week, which includes all fees and materials, morning and afternoon snacks, and lunch. Payment in full must be made at time of registration. We reserve the right to cancel any camp due to lake of attendance, etc. Should any camp be cancelled for any reason prior to the camp start date, a full refund will be made. Due to the limited number of spots we have available, no refunds will be given for camps within two weeks prior to the camp start date if a camper must cancel. We accept Cash, checks and most credit Cards (no AMEX) for payment for camps.

About the Instructors
All of our instructors are Professional Musicians/Educators and have extensive teaching and performing experience. They approach their instrument(s) with enthusiasm and passion, as music is their life! Each Instructor’s bio and picture can be seen and reviewed in the bio section.

(Rock Guitar Shredding-Teen)
Brett Lieberman | Guitar - Bass
Hailing from South Florida, Brett gained interest in learning guitar at the young age of 10 after witnessing the speed and energy of shredding guitarists in the likes of Eddie Van Halen. He was taken by guitar and has not let go for 17 years. He went on to attend Berklee School of Music to study basic and classical music composition. He specialized in Advanced Technique, but enjoys all styles especially hard rock, metal, neo classical, blues and jazz. Some of his influences include Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kirk Hammett and Zakk Wylde. To expand further his knowledge he later moved to Orlando and graduated with a degree in Recording Arts from Full Sail. He readily achieved success and was awarded platinum album credits and has worked with local, and nationally acclaimed acts. He urges that dedication, practice and passion are essential in mastering any instrument. His love, experience and expertise on guitar drive him as an instructor.

He is a session musician with past work in New York and Atlanta and has studied modern jazz bass under the guidance of Bass Player Magazine Advisory Board and AIM alumni, Adam Nitti. (Rock Guitar and Rock Band Pre-Teen)
Tavie Basarich | Guitar - Bass
From the time he was an unrecognizable embryo, still forming in his mother’s womb, Tavie Basarich was surrounded by music. Throughout the duration of her pregnancy, Tavie’s mother played works of Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Hayden so that she could now claim credit for his musical skills. Twelve years later Tavie taught himself how to play the guitar and his mom still brags about it. Tavie was initially inspired by early nineties alternative rock bands like Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins. However, the monotony of such bands’ distorted power chords soon bored him. Studying the blues with Steve Zampino and Frederick Capitelli introduced him to improvisational playing and thus tempered a guitarist who no longer regurgitated learned chord progressions, but channeled his emotions into melodies. This was the beginning of Tavie’s diverse musical palette, which, while you read this, continues to evolve. Whether it is classical, jazz, rock, avant-garde or hip-hop, all are evident in the breadth of his CD collection and his cover song repertoire. Having played in many bands, he teaches the importance of ear training and currently exemplifies its benefits as the singer and guitarist of the Orlando based trio: 86cheese. Tavie is also studying under UCF’s classical guitar dean, Dr. Eladio Scharron. Upon graduating from VCC, he will pursue a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar. What makes Tavie an excellent teacher is his innate ability to empathize with people and translate his knowledge of music into an easily digestible curriculum.
